Pams 101 Things in 1001 Days: One Year Recap

Okay, so its been just over a year since I posted my list (click above to see complete list), and Ive completed 35 things so far. Thats not too bad, although I had hoped for more. But theres still time, and a few things are in the works. Lets take a look back and see what I did accomplish:

1. Go to L.A.
3. Eat an In n Out burger.
4. Find a new version of The perfect underwear bottoms. [Sorry, but I hate the word panties. Ew.]
10. See Green Day Live.
11. Write and put on another play.
16. Find the elusive perfect red dress.
17. Go out and have a random make-out for old times sake.
21. Find a new good red lipstick that doesnt come off when you eat. (Damn you for discontinuing Copper Kiss Pearl, Cover Girl!)
22. Gather enough people to finally play the Survivor home game.
24. Go to OBriens with the DBF girls.
27. Trick someone into watching Dont Look Now.
32. Find a new alcoholic beverage to add to the short list of drinks I like and can tolerate.
35. Lie to a guy about my age.
39. Win more than $40 playing blackjack at a casino.
44. Win the after-card league game of pitch one night and take other peoples money instead of them taking mine.
45. Go back to Forever 21 with Sassy and take pictures of ourselves in the clothes.
49. See 30 Seconds to Mars live (and close to the front row so I can drool over Leto)
50. Buy a bathing suit that fits.
56. Beat Jerry at the Flashback TV game.
58. Go to an amusement park.
59. Wash my car more than once every six months.
60. Have my car waxed.
64. Play that 360 degree Dance Revolution game right instead of not being able to figure out how to play head-to-head and making complete fools out of ourselves. Do it up right and trash talk while playing.
70. Find a suitable replacement for my all-purpose black heels, which are currently dying a slow death.
75. Trick someone into drinking Cel-Ray.
76. Find one pair of expensive jeans that actually fits me correctly.
77. Buy them.
78. Go on a blind date. (I have an irrational fear of them)
81. Sing a duet with Shmuel.
82. Send a drink to a cute guy at a bar.
90. Do 35 Grand in the Sand again. (Bring a partner this time)
93. Go in an inflatable bouncy castle.
97. Draw.
99. Start watching Airline.
100. Eat raw carrots with no repercussions.

Hey, not too bad. I knocked off a few easy ones, but I also completed some surprising ones, such as the 30 Seconds to Mars and Green Day tasks. I doubled my pleasure with #16 and #58, by finding 2 perfect red dresses and going to Universal Studios in L.A. and then going to Six Flags for the first time over the summer. I was also happy to have completed the random make-out task, but even happier to have completed the inflatable bouncy castle one. However, Ive also found that some tasks dont have the best consequences, like my sending the drink to a cute guy at a bar, only to have the guy turn out to be a skeleton from Lucys past who is now desperately pursuing her because of their undeniable bond that he senses. Sorry, Lucy! Also, my blind date from #78 made me sad because I got to him too late. We talked for hours on the phone and he was amazing and fun and everything I want in a guy, but he had just met someone before we finally ended up hanging out one night, so I was very unfortunately too late. But hey, these things happen. Forget the past lets check out the future.

I should be able to knock some things off the list in the coming weeks, such as the simple task of painting my fingernails, which I still cant believe that I havent done. But Liz got me some great polish for Christmas, so it shall be done! Also, I just booked a trip to L.A. yesterday, and I splurged on a swanky hotel in Beverly Hills, so look out #72 and #36, Im coming for you! Eric and I are also trying to get tickets to see Ellen (#2) and will go and sit in the Riff Raff Room if we must. We will BE THERE. In terms of #7, Ive got the DVD recorder, I just havent gotten around to the transferring. And #8? We all know I tried to meet Taylor, but I will simply have to try, try again. That one will NOT be on the list of those that fall into the What was I thinking? category, such as Go to England or Watch all of my unopened DVDs. Ha! Im tentatively planning a trip to Minnesota this fall, so if I do make it there, I can knock #41 off and finally meet my friend Shelly. (And Lonnie, my great love.) Ooh, and #65: play tennis my brother and I are on a waiting list for a tennis league that starts in a couple of weeks. I am ridiculously out of shape. Bake a dessert Ive made things, but Im not counting separating pre-made cookies from dough I have to make it from scratch. And #94 my Office Husband got me a book for Christmas so I can learn chess, so Ill have to get on that. See? Things are in the works.

Im happy to see that I got so many things accomplished last year, but Im going for more this year. Id really like to cross off #34 (and #26), but Ill settle for #87. A girls gotta take what she can get. Heres to getting everything I desire this year, and I hope you all get the same. Lets do 2006 up right, bitches!
