This entry is entirely in honor of my best friend and partner in crime, who was the last holdout in terms of turning 30 this year. She didn't want anything big, so we took her out for dinner and drinks tonight and had a girl's night out. So happy 30th, babe - it only goes downhill from here. [Kidding! God, I hope I am.] Now, on to the picturefest!

You've got to have at least one stupid picture for the night.

This was the casualty of the night. Lucy was all excited to wear her new "Mamacita" boots until the heel got stuck in a floor vent in the restaurant. She and Rachel had to maneuver a tricky vent escape while the rest of us tried not to laugh. [The being stuck part was funny - not the shoe carnage. That always saddens me.] Lucy just kept yelling, "No! Not the boots!"

I wish this picture had come out clearer. At one point in the night, Liz pulled out her lip gloss to reapply it. She's usually whipping out the Lancome goods, but she tilted the tube to me and I was horrified to read the label: "Mary Kate & Ashley." This was met with the typical responses: "What the HELL?" "But I don't understand." "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

And finally, the gang (minus one). Rachel is the glowing pregnant woman in the back. Even with the shoe carnage, it was a fun night. We ended a little early as we were all tired, which made us all feel really, really, really OLD. [sigh]
